The purpose of inventory is to maintain the collection by annually identifying the items that are missing from the collection. Items that are not inventoried and which are not checked out in a calendar year are discarded through a batch process.
 
Inventory is completed once annually by the end of June.  Any items older than 1 year that have not circulated and was not inventoried in the last 12 months will be batch deleted in July. 
 
A BlueCloud Analytics report called, Inventory Report, can be run to identify what part(s) of your collections still need inventoried.
