Modify holds for item

Used mainly to transfer holds to another service point at the customer’s request.

The Modify Holds for Item wizard lets you change the following information about a hold:

  • Pickup Library
  • Pickup By date
  • Expiration Date
  • Date suspended/unsuspended (if configured in the wizard’s properties to display).

NOTE: You cannot modify the level and range of a hold.

To make a change to an existing item hold:

  • Select the Modify Holds for Item wizard. The Item Search window appears.
  • Scan the item barcode, or enter the Item ID. The holds now appear.
  • To modify all holds, select the Select All check box. Suggested use - to extend the expiry date for a list of holds where we were unable to fill within the one year default expiry.
  • To modify selected holds, select the Modify check boxes in front of the holds you want to change.

Select Modify. The following window appears:

Change the appropriate information, and click OK to save the changes and redisplay the Modify Holds window.
