Alberta library users can return their library items to any other Alberta library and that library will ship their book back to its home library. If someone returns an item from a ME library to EPL we will flag it, backdate it, and send it back to its owning institution.
If you find an item from another Alberta Public Library returned to us, find the standard ME Mailing flag.
Fill out the "Date Returned" and "At" sections of the flag to indicate the return date for backdating purposes. Fill out EPL as the library handling the return. Bundle items and send to CMA.
*If the item is from an academic library, insert the TAL flag in the item instead.
Make sure you let the customer know that there may be delays in the item arriving at the owning library.
