eReader Kit - Lost, Damaged or Missing Parts

Checking in eReader kits:

Check Kit contents against sticker on box.

If the kit is returned incomplete:

  • Contact the customer to see if they can return the missing piece
  •  If they cannot return the piece, bill customer and send kit to DLI by checking it out to DLI SNAGS. Indicate what is missing from the kit.

If the kit is returned damaged

  • Bill the customer for the damaged piece and send kit to DLI by checking it out to DLI SNAGS. Indicate what is damaged in the kit

Noting Minor Damage:

An example of minor damage could be slight damage to the bottom right side of the screen where the damage is so minimal that it does not impact reading on the screen. 

Follow the same practices as when a customer notes a CD, DVD or Vidoe Game isn't working:

  • Write DN beside the barcode.  This indicates that the damage has been noted for future circualtion

Billing for eReaders:

  • See Billing a User for details 
  • Use EPL-DAMAGE as the Reason for the bill if parts of the kit are damaged

    • USB Plug-in $20.00
      • Housing cracked, prongs bent
    • Cable $5.00
      • Cord frayed, Plug in unusable
    • Complete Kit $165.00
  • Use EPL-MISS-IN as the Reason for the bill ig parts of the kit are missing
    • eReader $140.00
    • USB Plug-in $20.00
    • Cable $5.00
    • Complete Kit $165.00

Replacing Worn Out Stickers:

If the "I<3 EPL eReader!" sticker as well as the blue and red stickers on the cases are wearing out and require replacing please contact DLI to have new stickers sent via. Interoffice mail.
